I don't think a concept has scared me more than this one has.....
I am actually trying to get more creative, a lot of my drawings seem pretty blazhay and typical. I wanted to make a card for my mother, but i didn't want it to be typical at all, so I threw the mother idea out there and tried to think about what ways can the concept of motherhood be seen..... I finally came upon Mother Earth. There is an endless amount of effort and energy "she" has to endure to sustain us and what we do to this world. How can the role of a mother not be similar to mother earth? I ended up feeling this was a good direction, to express to my mother the extent of how I see her role in my life. Her role, if nothing else, is extremely meaningful to me and I don't know where I'd be without her. There are some people who have been abused and who have been neglected by their parents, and it is so important to know at the end of the day that someone loves you and that they have your best interests at heart..... Thank you mom, and I really wish I could do more than just this for you..... p.s..... I am trying to color this, and wow.... did I set myself up for a long night..... |

Galactus: Can't you be a good woman like everyone else and do as your told.
Ms. G: Do I LOOK like everyone else!? I'm as big as the universe and I don't take $#!% you or anybody else. All you do is sit on your ass all day and eat. Why don't you get a job or at least a hobby or something? Treating me like I'm some kind of maid to clean up after you and your chef to prepare these planets for you. Why don't you run around the galaxy a few times and get rid of that gut...and how come you don't empty the trash when you made a mess in the quadrant?
