Thanos, the Mad Titan..... He destroyed everyone on his planet, took on the Avengers and beat them as well..... He had to be turned to stone in order to stop his murderous rampage....
In rebirth, he became infatuated with Death. So much so that he sought out to destroy half of the Universe to please her. This lead him on the quest for the Infinity Gems. Placed within his Gauntlet, he was master of all, yet still weakened by his love for Death. This love eventually was his undoing and he lost the gems, scattered to keep the universe from being destroyed.
All of that was inspiration for this image. Done traditionally, I used watercolor paint to tonally paint this after the penciling and inking was done. I hope to one day be able to paint like this, entirely by hand. Jim Chueng is a heavy influence for me right now, so you may see some of him in this work. This was a really tough image to pull together but I am continuing to learn, and this being done is extremely satisfying.
I hope you dig=]

First and foremost, I want to say good job on Thanos. Also this is based of my opinion.
I first thing I noticed is the gold top plate of Thanos (upper body). His right side looks more edge and rounded, while his left looks more curvy.
Second is his physique. To me, Thanos has more of a brute body. In your drawing, he's more slimmer. Perhaps its because of his pose, or your showing more of his trapezius at that angle. Overall, its your interpretation of Thanos. I respect it.
Third is his right arm. Although its a shadow, its a bit dark to notice whether its his arm or part of the background. At first I didn't know where it was, until I started to analyze the whole illustration.
Last is the aura (light) of his gems. Looks good, keep at it. I have a personal techniques that may help, if not then keep experimenting. If used Photoshop, try using the smudge tool or wave filter.
Overall you did a good job man. Thanos is one of my fav villians.
Awesome! Great job on the rendering of this. Definitely feels like a complete piece. Love the background as well. I feel like Thanos is a bit flat, and could be bulked up and rounded out a bit more, but otherwise you did a great job on rendering him. I especially like the rendering on his gold armor.
