There are times that I'll be looking through the web sites of some of these big comic pro's and wish I could knock out the consistent quality that they have on their pages. Image after image of beautiful work and it gets me down sometimes because ever since I can remember wanting to do anything with my life, this is what I've wanted to do.....
These five images are the best I've done within the last 4 months, and I am very proud of them for different reasons. AS artists, we tend to get down on ourselves sometimes, never really being happy with what we produce and continue to do so hoping we can do better next time. I thank the creator, whatever or whoever it/he/she is, for the simple fact that I have my hands and the mind to be able to do these things.
It gets hard sometimes because you have an idea of what you want to do and where you want to be and life doesn't always work out that way as I am sure you all well know. I am sure any of you reading this can attest to having a vision of how life will turn out for you and somehow missing the mark..... i think it's part of what makes us all human. Persistence is the key of course, and we can't get anywhere without putting one foot in front of the other to get there.
These are my best pieces to date, in my opinion, for different reasons..... I am grateful for being able to do them, and for being able to share them with you. I am grateful that I can share them with you all and that you guys take the time to help me grow and comment and have decided to take a part in my growth and evolution as an artist.....
.....hopefully I can continue to knock more quality work out for you guys to enjoy=]
*Edit* I was asked for a wallpaper for this, so I thought that'd be a nice option for any who might want it=]
not bad at all i love the background of GL .. and great expression seriously apply for an art school potential is great .. devotion excellent .. skill is something learned ..
i've heard that Ringling and SCAD are fairly good and accredited in the college system (like regular colleges not like tech school i.e Full Sail or ITT tech)
well I have a job, and at times I can draw, but usually I draw before work, or after I get home from work. My time is strange because working with kids can be taxing on you mentally, even when it's a good day, and usually it's a good day because you put so much of yourself into making it good.

heh yea, school is definitely a great direction for anyone, we can always learn more..... I do have a degree in art and went to SCAD for a year. I am thinking about going back to school and getting a degree in Illustration at SVA or maybe just taking some classes to supplement the things that my undergrad didn't teach me.....but thats why I frequent this site so much, it has taught me a lot that I hadn't known before or helped me refine the things I did know.

I am very honored that so many great and talented artists freely place their work up like this .. it is an honor to attend a convention and view their work ... it is a greater honor to see it immediatley and for free

I try to treat every artist with respect .. because with as much crap as they put up with .. all that dedication on one piece of art?? just to show the world?? they deserve it .. whether I like them as a person or not
